Evening Legal Secretary

McCann FitzGerald LLP is one of Ireland's premier law firms employing approximately 600 people. We provide the highest quality legal advice and representation to Irish and overseas clients. Our clients are principally in the corporate, financial and business sectors and we also advise government entities and many state bodies, pension funds, and educational institutions.
We currently seek to recruit an experienced Evening Legal Secretary to join the Firm. This role is open to both part-time and full-time applicants. Core working hours for this role will be 5:00 pm to 12:00 am.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing secretarial and administrative assistance to multiple Partners and to assist them in providing a professional service to the client.
In addition, the Legal Secretary may be asked to cover for other secretaries in their teams/groups and to provide relief assistance within the firm.
Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities for this role include: Drafting, amending, preparing correspondence and documentation to a high standard, in accordance with house style and to tight deadlines;Editing and converting PDF documents;Running redlines and processing marked-up documents;Dealing with client queries, ensuring they are handled in a professional, courteous and prompt manner;Client invoicing – drafting narratives, preparing reports, and tailoring to client specification through e-billing;Maintaining and archiving files – hard and soft copy;Dictaphone and copy typing;Other secretarial, administrative and ad hoc tasks and projects, as requested.Experience, Knowledge & SkillsThe successful candidate will have: A minimum of 2 years relevant work experience;Very strong MS Office skills;65+ wpm typing speed;A very high level of accuracy and attention to detail;Strong interpersonal and communication skills;Ability to exercise sound judgement and decision making;Ability to work in pressurised situations and across different time zones;Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills; the ability to manage a busy workload and meet client needs on a consistent basis.EducationThe successful candidate will have: Secretarial or Legal/Admin course qualification or equivalent experience;ApplicationsApplications are made through email and should be accompanied with full curriculum vitae and sent to ******
