Ardán is inviting expressions of interest for the role of Event Manager to deliver its annual FÍS Summits in Galway City in February and April 2025.
The successful candidate will work with Ardán's Event Programmers and Comms and Marketing Executive to manage the events.
The event manager will be responsible for: Effective management and execution of the FÍS TV and Games Summits 2025Coordinating with the Event Programmers and Comms and Marketing ExecutiveAssisting in budgeting and planning to ensure efficient delivery of the eventsCoordinating travel, accommodation & hospitality, & liaising with participants, stakeholders, & techniciansAssisting with post-event reporting, evaluation of event, and audience feedbackKey tasks: Ensuring cost-effective delivery of events and managing budgetsLiaising with stakeholders, contractors, venues, and sponsorsManaging guest list and ticketing alongside the programme and marketing teamLiaising with Speakers/Guests: managing travel, accommodation, and hospitalityCoordinating recruitment and management of crew, technicians, and volunteersThe ideal candidate will have: 2 years' experience working in the management and delivery of similar eventsExperience in fostering event-related relationships and managing communicationsOrganisational, admin, and budgetary skills, with Microsoft Office experienceExperience with sponsorship and funding applications would be beneficialUnderstanding of the film, TV, and videogame sectors is desirableIdeal attributes for this role include: A positive self-starter attitude, with the ability to work within a small teamAbility to multi-task, prioritise competing demands, and meet deadlinesFlexibility to adapt and support the team on a varied set of tasks as neededA responsible and organised individual with a keen attention to detailA commitment to supporting Ardán's core values and goals as an organisationTerms of employment: The ideal starting date for this contract is late November or early December 2024. This is a short-term, hybrid, part-time contract, moving to full-time onsite leading up to the event dates. Please note: these events will both take place in Galway City in February and April 2025.
