Job Description Job Title: Events Coordinator Reporting to: Senior Manager About the Schoolhouse We are a Boutique 4* Hotel and GastroBar based in the leafy suburbs of Ballsbridge, Dublin 4.
Located just minutes from all the citys top attractions and main shopping areas.
A listed building, the Schoolhouse was established in 1859 and has many of the original architectural features within the thirty-one newly renovated guest bedrooms.
About the Role Respond professionally to all internal enquiries for private and group events by consulting with the relevant materials, prices, and availability.
Ensure excellent administration in recording and securing deposits, POs, and invoices on Hotsoft.
Ongoing usage and understanding of OpenTable and our online booking engines.
Ensure good follow-up by meeting and greeting all prospective corporate clients and groups.
Proactively organise corporate site-visits to engage quality customers.
Manage and secure all aspects of the required booking to include post contact communication and the necessary feedback, in accordance with our GDPR policy.
Optimise capacity in all F&B areas in conjunction with our calendar of events and marketing/PR activities to drive revenue and customer satisfaction.
This includes the Blue Room, Board Room, and the various internal and external dining options throughout the Schoolhouse.
Strategically analyse our new, existing, and potential customer base with a view to improving our engagement with our leisure and corporate clients, across the hotel and Gastrobar.
Respond professionally and timely to all reviews, on-line and in person in conjunction with Senior Management as well as encouraging and supporting quality and valuable feedback from our guests.
Consult with Senior Management to ensure timely update of seasonal menus, prices and promotional materials on all our relevant social media and promotional channels.
Consult with Senior Management weekly to update on events to ensure effective rostering and planning forecasting.
Support the overall coordination, reporting and scheduling of projects and events, ensuring goals and objectives are met within agreed timeframes.
Consult with external third-party suppliers, internal customers, and stakeholders.

Proven ability to complete tasks in a detail-orientated and organised manner.
People orientated person, tactful, commercial, and diplomatic.
Capable of resolving demanding situations as they arise.
Experience and proficiency using databases and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) essential.
Knowledge of the Event Management Industry, and/or experience as a hotel receptionist or revenue sales would be a distinct advantage.
An interest in digital marketing, Photoshop or design would be a distinct advantage.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral are essential.
