Executive Archaeologist, Dublin City Council

Reporting to the Dublin City Archaeologist or such designated officer e.g. Deputy City Planner, the Executive Archaeologist(s) will work in a small team of Heritage Professionals, Planners and Administrative staff assigned to carry out Development Management, Forward Planning and other functions and to administer grants, notably the Community Monuments Fund. In doing so, they will liaise with other Dublin City Council departments and relevant external agencies and stakeholders. The work of the Executive Archaeologists will support the Corporate Plan, implement the policies, objectives and standards of the Dublin City Development Plan and other statutory plans, deliver the annual archaeological business plan and other such duties.

Salary: €57,336- €79,701
