Our client The Pension's Authority is currently seeking to hire an Executive Officer – Data Analyst.
The role of Executive Officer – Data Analyst The Executive Officer (EO) – Data Analyst will be part of a team that is responsible for all data quality, integrity, governance, and management within the Authority. The EO Data Analyst reports to a Higher Executive Officer in the Data Unit.
The main duties and responsibilities of the role include:
Reviewing and acting on submissions made by regulated entities through the Authority's IT systems.Handling enquiries from regulated entities.Responding to requests for statistics and reports on data held on the Authority's IT systems.Writing SQL queries.Analysing large scale complex datasets to identify any issues and ensuring good quality data.Helping internal users to understand and interpret the Authority's data.Designing, creating, maintaining, and testing reports, managing, and formatting responses to queries, and providing other Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, as requested.Ensuring that all reports and other BI solutions are comprehensively documented.Suggesting process changes where appropriate.Carrying out any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.Essential skills, experience and qualifications Candidates for this role should possess the following:
At least one year of relevant professional work experience or a relevant qualification.Strong attention to detail, a high level of accuracy and a flexible approach in order to meet challenging objectives and deadlines.SQL skills.Excellent Excel skills.Excellent communications skills.Strong problem-solving skills.A methodical and logical approach to completing tasks.Desirable skills, experience and qualifications A relevant third level degree at NFQ Level 8 or higher.SQL certification.Microsoft Power BI certification.Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).A compliance, regulatory, or pensions background.Scripting or other programming skills or experience.The successful candidate must be interested in further developing their data analysis and SQL skills and their pensions knowledge. The successful candidate will be required to complete training courses during their probationary period.
