Ballywater Logistics Recruitment is seeking qualified and experienced HGV Mechanics to join a leading transport team in Limerick with state-of-the-art equipment and fleet.
This is an exciting opportunity for mechanics with hands-on expertise in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing heavy goods vehicles and trailers.
Candidates of all experience levels are welcome, provided they meet the qualifications and experience criteria outlined below.
Key Responsibilities Perform scheduled servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a fleet of HGVs and trailers.Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults in vehicles and trailers.Carry out pre CVRT inspections and ensure compliance with all road safety and legal requirements.Conduct brake, clutch, and engine overhauls when required.Undertake welding, fabrication, and minor bodywork repairs.Maintain accurate documentation of all work completed, including service records.Collaborate with the transport team to minimize vehicle downtime and ensure operational efficiency.Requirements Fully qualified HGV Mechanic with recognised certifications (e.g., QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate or equivalent).Proven experience in all aspects of truck and trailer mechanics.Strong diagnostic skills and familiarity with modern diagnostic equipment and software.Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and reliability.Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently when required.Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.A full, clean driving license (HGV license desirable but not mandatory).References from previous employers are essential.What We Offer A competitive salary package reflective of your experience and skills.The opportunity to work with a leading transport team in a supportive and dynamic environment.Continuous training and development opportunities to enhance your skills.If you meet the above criteria and are ready to take the next step in your career, we want to hear from you.
