Job DescriptionExtrusion Chargehand - County CavanRef No: AM18374County Cavan, Republic of IrelandCompetitive salary Extrusion Chargehand - County Cavan.In this role you will be a key plant resource to improve the effectiveness and rigour of the extrusion systems to enable the company to deliver good quality product.This role will involve supporting the implementation of technical improvements, preventing and resolving technical problems and assessing the capabilities of the extrusion process.
You will provide on the floor leadership and supervision to improve product quality, equipment uptime and line utilisation.This role will also involve liaising with maintenance, and supporting trials for new products whilst ensuring the correct Health and Safety and Hygiene standards are adhered to.It is essential that the successful applicant is able to demonstrate a general knowledge of extrusion technologies and strong analytical skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the department in identifying and delivering:• Lean / Continuous Improvement initiatives as part of a "Leading Excellence" programme, and also energy efficiency improvement initiatives as part of the ISO-50001 certification standard.• You will also be responsible for developing the skill level of staff within the extrusion department through the coaching and mentoring of staff as part of structured individual training programmes.• In addition you must be able to demonstrate a knowledge of health & safety within the workplace, a flexible attitude, the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team to achieve targets and prioritise workload.
