We are currently seeking highly-motivated Support Workers to join our team in Mayo with openings in the following areas in home support: · Westport Area – minimum 15 hours per week · Ballinrobe Area – minimum 15 hours per week · Swinford Area – minimum 15 hours per week · Castlebar Area – minimum 15 hours per week · Ballina Area – minimum 15 hours per week Contract Type: Relief Contract Contract Hours: 15 hours minimum Salary Scale: €32,639 to €39,499 pro rata per annum (€16 - €19.47 per hour) based on experience
Overview of the Post: To provide home support to children with ASD, physical, sensory, and intellectual disabilities.
Overview of Duties & Responsibilities: The Family Support Worker will also provide support to children with ASD, physical, sensory, and intellectual disabilities in the home and local community, assistance with home therapy programs; personal care assistance; social support and facilitate the achievement of the individual's goals.
The successful candidate will have Essential Criteria: • Appropriate QQI Level 5 Major award in childcare qualification or equivalent (SNA level 5/6)
• Excellent communication skills
Desirable Criteria: · Experience working with children in the disability sector
· Experience working with families in the community
· Experience working with adults with physical disabilities
