Job Description: The successful candidate will have an established track record as a journalist covering farming issues or an agricultural communicator.
They will work under the direction of the Irish Examiner's Farming Editor.
The person appointed will have a knowledge of Irish agriculture and issues affecting farmers and their families/businesses and preferably a track record in reporting and analysis across print and digital platforms.
Based in the Irish Examiner's offices in Cork, this role requires a high degree of flexibility, adaptability and an ability to produce first-class work in an accurate, timely and efficient manner to digital and print deadlines.
Applicants will be asked to demonstrate a high degree of personal initiative, excellent judgement and the ability to originate exclusive stories.
