Want to know more about what to expect from a working life in Healthcare21, then click here. Job SummaryHealthcare 21 are currently looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer to join their Primary Care Service Team.  This is an exciting opportunity to work for a well-established, ambitious company.
This role will require you to assist with the repair and maintenance of Primary Care products (mobility aids and appliances) and while primarily based in the West Cork region the geographical area to be covered will not be restricted to this area only and flexibility will be required, particularly around the wider Cork area.  The successful candidate will report directly to the Field Service Engineering Team Lead and will correspond with the Engineering Administration teams daily. Job Location: West Cork region primarily with travel required into the wider Cork area at times. ResponsibilitiesTo inspect, repair and service medical equipment in the fieldCo-ordinate & conduct installations, equipment maintenance, repair, and breakdown support at customer sites and to ensure that any work undertaken complies with the relevant manufacturers' quality procedure relating to that service or activityEnsure that equipment downtime is minimal and that your preventative maintenance plans are continually monitored and actioned in a timely mannerProvide engineer reports and all relevant supporting documentation to customer support administration for traceability, further processing and invoicingUse Engineer Mobile App device to record accurately work carried outKeep accurate account van stock & complete boot stock checks as requiredAccess parts codes and services manuals to ensure product service/repair is in line with Manufacturer's guidelinesPromote the Service Department ensuring the highest standard of Customer Service and satisfaction is achieved alwaysAny other activities as determined necessary by the Engineering Team Lead or Business Manager Key Competencies Technically competent with strong trouble-shooting and analytical skills.Good mechanical and electrical knowledge of fault findingAbility to take responsibility for all work in your region and prioritise/manage same efficiently, therefore excellent organisational and timekeeping skills are essentialProactively manage and develop client relationships while delivering exceptional customer service to ensure successful partnerships are maintained – you should be customer focused with a courteous and professional mannerAbility to work effectively with colleagues throughout the business and utilise a team approach to accomplish goalsExcellent interpersonal skills – you should be an effective communicator with excellent written & verbal skillsFlexibility & availability to travel, sometimes at short notice with the ability to thrive under pressure along with a strong desire to succeedStrong diagnostic, fault finding / problem solving, and judgement skills are essential in this roleAbility to work on your own initiative but also comfortable working in a team environmentGood organisational and timekeeping skill Key RequirementsWill have a proven track record in an engineering roleThe ideal candidate will have 3+ years proven experience in a field-based engineering role, preferably in the medical device sector or a related industry however this is not essentialFull clean Drivers Licence is essentialComputer literateSuccessful completion of Garda VettingPlace of work may change according to Business needs, in accordance with the job content What are some of the benefits of working at healthcare 21?Competitive salary and bonus structureEmployee Assistance ProgramPension, Life assuranceEducational AssistanceHC21 training academyEnhanced annual and life leave Employee engagement initiatives and a dedicated internal employee communication platform WorkVivoSupportive colleagues to learn from and enjoy company social outings, parties, and events We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
