Purpose of the role: The successful candidate will oversee the preparation of weekly management accounts, reporting and analytics and the preparation of the monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
Working closely with the Finance Director of Keelings Retail the successful candidate will manage the day-to-day finances of Keelings Farms, the Finance & administration department, and the stock control function of the company.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities: Business Partner with the Farms General Manager and Management Team in Keelings Farms providing accurate data to assist with key business decisions Project lead for farms improvement plans to drive efficiencies within the business Complete all financial management functions across our Farms business unit including but not limited to: Development and implementation of a complete suite of financial management processes and compliance systems.
Develop strategic financial plans.
Provide operational decision support through financial data analysis Risk Management and Cost Control across all areas of Keelings Farms Assist in the procurement process for farms projects (capex) and consumables.
Annual budget preparation and review Develop performance reporting tools for operations and agronomy functions that deliver clear, transparent information consistently Oversee the Technical and Compliance function of the farm.
Deliver RDI coordination and compliance team activities oversight.
Provide support into the Health & Safety function of the farm working closely alongside the Group Head of Health & Safety.
Assist with the Group Internal Audit function as required ensuring appropriate financial controls are always in place throughout the Farms business.
Assistance with the completion of the year-end audit for Keeling's Farms to include preparation of the audit file Introducing periodic benchmarking of business performance against other growers to aid Yield, quality and efficiency improvements Support Operations Team with continuous improvement projects in terms of systems and data Key Skills & Knowledge At least 5 years' experience in a similar role essential.
IT literate, proficient in Excel & Word Experience in Fresh produce a distinct advantage Excellent people management skills Ability to manage time and perform to strict deadlines Proven track record of strong internal controls Experience in project management Cross Department collaboration Possess the ability to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels.
Demonstrate integrity & trust Advanced IT skills required (Advanced Excel Skills Essential) Analytical thinker High level of initiative necessary to identify key priorities as they arise.
