Currently, we employ over 1,400 staff and support people in Laois, Offaly, Westmeath, Meath, Longford, Kildare, Tipperary, and Kilkenny. We provide supports through the Regional structure and the Person Centred Wing. They will be a suitably experienced individual who will work alongside different business departments and regions, creating a real and active partnership with both operations and finance. They will provide financial information, tools, analysis, and insight to Regional Directors and other members of the Executive Management Team, challenging their thinking, helping them make decisions that are more informed, and driving business priorities.
Their role will be to provide real-time support and analysis, to be a trusted advisor, and to add value that will assist in decision-making. As most managers and staff are not finance professionals, it is important that they can communicate their message, understand their audience, and deliver the information in a clear and user-friendly manner.
Person SpecificationA demonstrable record of achievement in a finance role within a large complex organisation, including direct engagement with and influencing decision-makers regarding financial performance and control.Experience in a Section 38 publicly funded organisation strongly desirable.Experience in the preparation of financial costings.Experience in a leadership role with line management responsibility.Demonstrate the ability to effectively plan and manage resources, handle multiple priorities concurrently, and structure and organise own workload and that of others effectively.Effective report writing and communication of key messages to non-finance managers.Strong analytical ability.Initiative and Motivation.Excellent organisational, logistical, and IT skills an advantage.Informal Enquiries: Director of Finance – Andrea O'Connor: 087-9499986
