Finance Manager - Revenue - Dublin 18 (Hybrid)

We are now recruiting for a Manager of Finance to join our Revenue team. The Revenue team is responsible for the revenue recognition for ICON, a key KPI for both Senior leadership and the external market. This role involves ownership of accurate delivery of group and divisional revenue recognition to support senior management in operational and commercial decision making.
People LeadershipLead revenue team with high quality delivery and focus on centre of excellenceHiring of new talent and developing existing teamEmbed and develop Own It @ ICON Culture and the ICON four ValuesFinancial OwnershipDelivery of accurate monthly and quarterly revenue recognition (ASC606) and reporting close process in line with strict deadlines ensuring integrity and accuracy of the information reportedDelivery of all required audit (both internal and external) documentation and ensuring full and effective compliance with SoX requirementsResponsible for the maintenance of standardised global processes to recognise revenue in accordance with latest US GAAP & SEC requirementsEnsure that relevant accounting policies and procedures are documented, understood and reviewed/updated as necessaryLead, motivate and develop the revenue recognition team with a strong focus on coaching and recognizing opportunities for development to achieve KPIsDemonstrate leadership, teamwork, energy, responsiveness, decision-making, and effectiveness.Support the preparation of ad-hoc management presentations and participate in various process improvement initiativesBuild strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholdersAs a member of the team, the employee is expected to embrace and contribute to our culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes, adding value to our business and meeting client needs.Educational RequirementsProfessional Accountancy Qualification (ACA, CMA, ACCA or equivalent)3+ years of Post Qualification ExperienceExperience, Skills & Knowledge RequirementMinimum 3 years of experience in managing medium to large teamsExcellent financial acumen with ability to interpret large volume of dataExcellent communication (written and oral) and influencing skillsAbility to work to tight deadlines with an absolute commitment to accuracyExcellent working knowledge of MS office package, in particular Excel.Prior experience in Oracle Financial systems, Hyperion, Alteryx, Power BI, Excel Macro etc. is an advantage.What ICON can offer youOur success depends on the quality of our people.
