About the roleYou will oversee the company's day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, month-end close processes and compliance with accounting standards. You will manage key functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and revenue recognition while supporting the preparation of board reports and monthly investor updates. The role requires a detail-oriented individual. You will have an opportunity to grow within this role as CitySwift continues to scale internationally, playing a key part in supporting the company's global expansion.
Key responsibilitiesMonth-End Reporting: Oversee the month-end closing process, including the preparation of financial reports, reconciliations, and journal entries to ensure accurate financial statements.Accounts Receivables & Payables: Ensure timely invoicing and collection of payments and that all vendor invoices are recorded accurately and paid in a timely manner.Invoices & Receipts Management: Manage and reconcile invoices and receipts (Revolut), ensuring all transactions are properly recorded in the accounting system (Xero).Expenses, Data Entry, and Manual Journals: Ensure accurate data entry in Xero, manage expenses, and oversee the posting of manual journals for accurate financial reporting.Revenue Recognition Reporting: Revenue reporting in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.Support Drafting of Board & Finance Reporting: Assist in the preparation of MI reports for the Board and senior management, ensuring all financial data is clearly communicated and aligned with business objectives.Payroll & Time Allocation: Support payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees.Timesheet Reporting: Manage the collection and reporting of timesheets, ensuring accurate tracking of hours worked across projects and departments to support resource allocation and billing.Audit Administration: Coordinate with external auditors for year-end audits, ensuring all required documentation is prepared and provided to auditors in a timely manner.Weekly Pay Runs: Process weekly payments to vendors, contractors, and employees accurately and on time.Grant Funding Applications: Manage the application and reporting processes for grants, including Enterprise Ireland and EU funding, ensuring compliance with grant requirements.ESG Analysis & Reporting: Manage ESG analysis and reporting, ensuring the company meets its ESG objectives.Minimum RequirementsQualified Accountant or Part Qualified seeking to complete their certification - ACCA / CIMA / ACA.High level of attention to detail and technical knowledge.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Strong organisational skills.A willingness to learn and develop professionally.Capacity to deal with a wide variety of different tasks and to prioritise as required.Ability to be proactive and use initiative.We value, recognise and reward our peopleSalary €50k - €55k (D.O.E. and qualification).Allowance to pay for annual professional accreditations ie.
