Financial Accountant My client is dedicated to helping all people with chronic conditions get back to living their lives to the fullest.
They do this by enhancing access to care, improving quality of life and advancing health equity.
They are currently looking for a qualified Financial Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis.
Based in Galway, this role will report to the Financial Controller. Responsibilities Responsibility for completion of month end functions to support the timely and accurate management reporting.Preparation and analysis of monthly departmental cost reviews.Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.Co-ordinate and participate in the drafting of the Group single entity financial statements.Participate in half year and year end reporting including financial statement preparation.Preparation of quarterly VAT returns.Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to support the delivery of interim and year end audit and tax.Support the annual and quarterly budgeting process.Support the implementation of financial and accounting policies and procedures for stronger compliance, internal control and risk management.Review and enhance processes to streamline financial reporting and enhance controls.Ad-hoc duties to support the team.Requirements and Skills Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) 2+ PQE with relevant industry experience, preferably with Big 4 training.Strong technical background in US GAAP and IFRS.Self-motivated and innovative.Excellent communication with ability to collaborate with senior internal and external stakeholders.Strong controls background including SOX and internal audit exposure.Strong analytical capability.Knowledge of NetSuite/ similar ERP systems.Advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.Our Client's Core Values Make a Difference: Our actions should help people and create change that improves the world by empowering individuals with chronic conditions to get back to living their lives to the fullest.Think Big: We are here to change the world for the better.
