Flogas Ireland has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant, to join on a permanent position within our finance team supporting the LPG business.
This is a critical role within the finance function, ensuring that best practice financial reporting is in place, that company assets are safeguarded and that the company is operating on a tax compliant basis.
Key Responsibilities: Monthly financial reporting for the LPG businessSupporting the budgeting & forecasting processesManaging & reporting of key business metricsAnalysis of all overheadsMaintenance and management of fixed asset register and capital approval processManagement of business lease registerEnsuring the company is tax compliant and all returns are submitted accurately and on timeSupport with internal and external auditsAd-hoc project work will be ongoingBusiness partnering: Working closely with business leaders and other departments on an ongoing basisAttend business reviews, identify budget variances and work with the business to recommend solutions and recovery plans where appropriate.Systems & Controls: Evaluate and implement effective controls to ensure that they are adequate to protect the assets, profitability and cash flowSupport the business teams through implementation, monitoring and ongoing improvement of the Finance system processes to meet business needs in an efficient and effective mannerCandidate Profile: The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience (PQE). They possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. The candidate has strong communication skills and demonstrates the ability to take ownership and responsibility for their role. They exhibit strong attention to detail and possess excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, with experience in ERP systems. The candidate works well under pressure, is deadline-oriented, and has a flexible working attitude. Experience in the energy sector would be an advantage but is not essential.
