Flogas Enterprise Solutions is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this role will play a crucial part in preparing statutory accounts, managing audits, and overseeing financial compliance. The ideal candidate will have a passion for finance, strong analytical skills, and experience in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Assisting the Financial Controller in the preparation of statutory accounts for auditors and the daily management of the interim and final audit process.Responsibility for the initial preparation of monthly management accounts, full analysis of KPI's and commentary on results against budget and prior periods for review by Financial Controller.Responsibility for the control of costs and for measuring department performance v budget.Assisting the Financial Controller in the provision of up to date, relevant financial analysis on an ad hoc and regular basis to the Board and Management Team to assist in the strategic direction and planning for Flogas.Direct responsibility for the management of all tax compliance requirements and statistical reporting requirements of Flogas.Responsibility for the maintenance of all finance process documents, the preparation of new process documents and acting as the finance representative on the Flogas internal audit team.Assisting the Financial Controller in the overview and operation of the monthly invoicing process ensuring pre-set targets for accuracy and timeliness are met.Responsibility for the initial credit assessment of all new Flogas Customers and completion of necessary documentation for Management Team counter signoff.Responsibility for the maintenance of good working relationships with all key Flogas partners in areas such as investment, banking, legal, audit, taxation etc.Responsibility for the daily management of all bank accounts and FX requirements of Flogas and customers.Responsibility for the monthly collection of direct debits from customers.Responsibility for the monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.Ad hoc duties as required.Ideal Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified, with experience in a financial accountant role. A background in Big 4 accountancy is a distinct advantage, but not essential. This position suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment, with experience in the energy, financial services, or corporate finance sectors. Candidates should have excellent organizational skills, proficiency in Sage Accounting (preferred), strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and superb communication abilities. They should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, with a high level of interpersonal skills and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
