Financial Accountant - FTC Join this dynamic team focused on delivering better nutrition for every step of life's journey The Opportunity A vacancy has arisen for a Financial Accountant who has the energy, enthusiasm and drive to "make tomorrow happen" at Glanbia Business Services (GBS). This is a fixed term contract position for 12 months and will report to the Financial Accounting Team Lead.
The successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced, innovative environment where there is a key focus on continuous improvement, while delivering high quality, reliable services to other divisions within Glanbia.
Responsibilities Intercompany Reconciliations across the groupFixed Asset Accounting on behalf of business units across the groupRight of Use Asset Reconciliations across the groupManage the day-to-day delivery of all tasks in line with the service level agreementDeveloping relationships with the specific business units whose tasks you are completingCollate and summarise operational and financial information from various sources within the Group for onward reporting and circulation to tight deadlinesAssist in the development and maintenance of reporting processesProviding general accounting assistance in a dynamic shared services centre including reviewing and analysing detailed financial informationMaintain a strong set of financial controls ensuring that their area of responsibility is compliant with the group policyAd hoc work as required in the roleThe Skills you will bring to the team Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA) with retained membership of the relevant accounting body0-2 years PQE with a large multinational or Top 10 practice backgroundProven track record in a similar role; related experience in an FMCG business environment is desirable but not essentialAbility to work to and meet tight deadlinesExcellent data analytical and strong numerical skillsExcellent communicator with experience in engaging with customers, colleagues, Senior Management and external service providersStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage relationships within finance and other functionsExperience with SAP is desirable but not essentialWhere and how you will work The opportunity will be based in Dungarvan, Waterford with a minimum requirement to work on site 2 days per week and with hybrid working arrangements available through our Smart working model which allows you a greater choice in how you work and live, giving you a better work-life balance.
