Financial Accountant

BenchMark are seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Financial Accountant to join our clients dynamic finance team in Co Clare.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to develop their accounting skills in a fast-paced industry setting.
The Role: Prepare monthly management accounts in a timely & accurate manner Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, including the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
Support the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the month-end close.
Maintain and manage the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
Assist in the preparation of cash flow forecasts and monitor actual cash flows against forecasts.
Support the preparation of budget projections and analyse variances.
Assist with the preparation and submission of tax filings, including VAT, PAYE/PRSI, and other statutory requirements.
Support the preparation of audit files for external auditors and assist with audit queries.
Prepare ad-hoc tasks / reports for management as and when required Requirements Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) 1-2 years of industry experience in a financial accounting role, ideally within a multinational or dynamic business environment.
Exposure to ERP accounting systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
