Financial Accountant

Financial Accountant (Waterford) - 1-Year Fixed Term Contract Our client is seeking a Financial Accountant for an initial one-year fixed-term contract to support their growing business, with plans to expand by 30% in the coming months. This role works closely with the finance team and reports directly to the Financial Controller, occasionally stepping in as their deputy.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register and manage depreciation.Oversee stock accounting and sales accounting processes.Lead the year-end process and handle auditor queries.Review the nominal ledger and assist with credit control.Manage performance calculations.Support the Financial Controller with queries and ad-hoc tasks.Work with clinics to improve finance processes.Lead projects aimed at increasing operational efficiency.Qualifications & Experience: Qualified Accountant.Proficient in accounting software and MS Office.Knowledge of data analytics and Power BI is a plus.Strong attention to detail with knowledge of tax laws.Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.Flexible, adaptable, and able to handle confidential information professionally.This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a rapidly expanding company based in Waterford!
