Financial Accountant – Reduced Hours

Financial Accountant – Reduced hours Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team. The Financial Accountant will report to the Financial Controller and will work very closely with the Operations Department. This role will be offered on a part-time basis, which could be 3 days a week, or reduced hours for 5 days. There will be an element of hybrid work, including visiting customer sites for audit checks, but this will be no more than once a month.

The Role: Monitor and report on operations expenditure on a monthly basis – Actual versus Budget versus Forecast versus prior year. This will involve interaction with Operations personnel and other internal stakeholders. Provide monthly forecasts of likely expenditure, including full analysis of all variances. Support the timely and accurate production of other financial management information as required to support the business. Assist in annual budget setting. Oversee preparation of monthly payments. Conduct on-site customer audits to verify claims. In conjunction with IT Dept, develop reports and dashboards to assist in monitoring Recovery Operator claims and associated expenditure. The Person: A Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience. A practice background with strong exposure to conducting audits would be beneficial. Strong communication, team management, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Office. MS Dynamics CRM, Power BI, and Microsoft Business Central skills are a distinct advantage. Strong analytical, budgeting, and forecasting skills to interrogate financial data and deliver effective advice and recommendations. Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to deliver solutions and results. Full clean driving licence.
