The Position We have an exciting opportunity for a graduate to join our leading international firm and specifically our award-winning Financial Accounting and Outsourcing Services Division. Our Financial Accounting and Outsourcing team work to support our clients to better run their finance functions, understand their financial position and performance, and to ensure they are compliant with changing accounting and tax legislation. The successful candidate will work with a diverse range of clients across various industries, assisting with all aspects of their accounting lifecycle. This ambitious individual will have the opportunity to complete ACA/ACCA exams while receiving full financial and exam support from Forvis Mazars.
Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Maintenance of financial information for a broad range of international clients using various accounting software packages including Xero and Sage 50Preparation of monthly accounting reporting packs including bank reconciliations, creditors reconciliations, VAT reconciliations and debtors' statementsCreating and updating financial statements using accounts production softwarePreparation of statutory financial statementsPreparation and filing of VAT, VIES and Intrastat returnsInterim secondments to clients across a range of industriesLiaising with various external stakeholders providing support as required including external auditors as part of the year end audit processBuilding strong relationships with client representativesPromoting financial accounting and outsourcing services both internally and externally About you You're a business and/or accounting student or graduateIntern work experience in a professional services or industry environment is desirable but not requiredAn ambitious individual with a desire to become a professional qualified Accountant Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel with a willingness to learn new systemsMeticulous attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to manage multiple engagementsExcellent time management skills with an ability to work effectively to deadlinesAbility to work effectively as part of a teamA self-motivated individual with an ability to work on their own initiative with an awareness for when to seek assistance and work collaboratively These roles are for our Graduate Trainee Programme 2024 and have a start date of 30th September 2024.
