Barden are delighted to be working exclusively with our client, a successful Global business headquartered in Cork, who are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their growing finance team on an initial 12 month contract.
This is a broad and interesting role, with oversight across the entire global business. Working closely with a highly skilled finance team, you'll handle a wide range of financial processes for Ireland and the UK including statutory reporting, month end and bank reconciliations.
The company are known for their culture of learning and continuous development and exams will be supported for those studying.
ABOUT THE ROLE: Overseeing the issuance of invoices and maintaining the receivables ledger.Implementing effective credit control measures.Handling aspects of accounts payable, including recording vendor invoices and reconciling supplier statements.Reconciling company credit card statements and overseeing employee expense submissions.Administering the company's petty cash fund.Gaining knowledge in end-of-month financial reconciliations, reporting, and budget preparation.Conducting reconciliations between company subsidiaries.Ensuring adherence to tax laws and regulatory standards.Utilizing advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and aiding in cost-saving initiatives.Providing comprehensive support to the Finance team on various projects and tasks as needed.ABOUT THE PERSON: Detail-oriented with good attention to detail.Proficient IT skills, particularly Excel.Self-starter who is eager to learn and advance professionally.
