About the RoleReporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, this role is a key part in the finance function supporting in month end reporting, managing Debtors credit control and purchasing, and leading on process improvement.
Key AccountabilitiesProcess month end journals (e.g. recording revenue, cost of goods, overheads, stock etc) with a strict working day 2 deadline for month end.Support the IBH Financial Accountant in the preparation of monthly Management Accounts, including KPI and performance reports.Support the wider management team with issues and ongoing finance support.In-depth understanding of Cash processes and controls in the business. Support the cash administrator on cash processes where required.Reconciling Revenue & Cash/Card receipts to the front end Retail & Ticketing systems.DebtorsCredit Control - Proactive management of debt collection.Prepare monthly review of debtors ledger including aged analysis for review with financial accountant/CFM.Management of all debtor processes to ensure there is a streamlined effective process in place that is CARM (Internal Controls & Risk Management) compliant including: Invoicing, Payment allocation and account reconciliation.Build and maintain trusting customer relationships, maintain a high level of customer service and satisfaction.CreditorsOwn the financial control of accounts payable process including the Purchase Order (PO) process & supporting budget owner queries on raising POs & resolving invoicing issues ensuring we are compliant with Diageo processes.Management of key Creditor accounts.Make P-card payments.Other ResponsibilitiesContinuous improvement around controls and efficiency of processes.Some Business Partnering with budget owners to help their costs control.Balance sheet Reconciliations.Support with statutory audit queries.Support the GSH bottle shop finance administration process.Support on testing and implementation of new systems.Support the CARM and Compliance agenda.QualificationsWe would love to hear from you, if you have:
Experience in month end processes, journal entries and analysis of financials and P&L preparation.Understanding of Cash and Credit card handling and reconciliation, the accounts receivable process and the accounts payable process.Experience in Balance Sheet reconciliations and management.Good communication skills and effective at building relationships internally and externally.Highly numerate, strong analytical skills & excel skills.Good working knowledge of IT in a multi-retail environment and/or visitor experience.Financial acumen or relevant finance qualification.Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in an analytical finance role.Working with UsJoin us and you can also expect a rewards and benefits package including:
