Employing a staff of 300, they operate a large retail network nationwide and have a strong online presence.
The role will involve working as part of the head office finance team located in Galway.
The role is largely office based with the potential to work 1 day remote following training/probation period.
Required Skills, Qualification & Experience: Fully Qualified Accounting Technician or Part Qualified Accountant 2+ years experience in an accounting role with experience using an accounting software Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience with Microsoft Excel A high-energy individual with good interpersonal skills Excellent organisation skills Strong attention to detail Ability to work both as part of a team and on own initiative Job Responsibilities: Complete Month End Reconciliations, including Bank Reconciliations, Supplier Recs etc.
Maintain Fixed Asset Register for multiple companies.
Prepare Month End journals.
Complete Intercompany Reconciliations.
Liaising with Internal stakeholders on various queries.
Preparation of CSO and other statutory reporting requirements.
Assist with Monthly Management accounts Preparation of Month End and Quarter End reporting.
Assist with preparation of Year End audit.
Prepare VAT, VIES and Intrastat.
Ad hoc duties to be performed as and when required.
