Our client, an Irish owned furniture retailer is seeking to hire an experienced Traditional Marketing Manager with a background in retail marketing.
This role is a based in Galway.
As a Retail Marketing Manageryou will be responsible for developing and executing local marketing strategies (print advertising (newspapers, flyers), radio, in-store displays, signage and traditional media outreach) to increase foot traffic and drive sales growth across the network of nationwide stores.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working in marketing function for a large retail network group and have a proven track record of success in increasing store performance.
A background in Furniture or Homeware retail is preferred but, relevant experience within a large fashion retail group is considered.
Essential Requirements: Min 3-5 years' demonstrated experience in traditional marketing within the retail sector.
Proven experience in retail marketing, with a focus on driving foot traffic and sales.
A track record of increasing sales through marketing initiatives in a multi store retail environment.
Experience in furniture retail or a large retail nationwide group.
Knowledge of the local market within Ireland and competitor activity is strongly preferred Demonstrated experience of driving footfall and store sales using marketing initiatives.
Experience with local marketing partnerships, community engagement and knowledge of local media landscape.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Experience with budget management.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to extract actionable insights from sales and marketing data.
People management experience.
Qualification in Marketing, Business, or a related field desirable, not essential.
Responsibilities: To drive sales footfall and stores sales through marketing initiatives.
Create and execute local marketing campaigns tailored to individual store locations, considering demographics, competitive landscape, and seasonal trends.
Design, produce, and distribute eye-catching POS displays, signage, promotional materials and work with Merchandising team on in-store strategies.
Identify and cultivate relationships with local businesses, organisations, and local media to drive brand awareness and generate leads.
Utilise traditional marketing channels i.e.
print advertising (newspapers, flyers), radio, and direct mail to reach target audiences.
Work closely with Store Managers, Staff, Area Managers, and Merchandisers to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with store operations and sales goals.
Analyse and track KPIs, sales conversions etc., to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and make data-driven adjustments.
Conduct regularly research and analyse competitor marketing activities Effectively manage the local marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
Keep up to date with retail marketing trends and best practices.
People development, mentoring and training of team members.
