General responsibilities: To ensure the hotel achieves the Leading Hotels of the World Quality Assurance targets and that the highest standards of luxury and quality delivered consistently to our guests.
To deliver excellent care and service to our guests.
To ensure that areas of responsibility are clean and well maintained and cleaning checklists are adhered to.
To report defective materials and equipment to the appropriate Departments.
To have strong product knowledge of all areas of the hotel.
To have strong product knowledge of the food & beverage menus.
To accept a flexible work schedule necessary for uninterrupted service to hotel guests and to maintain flexibility within teams.
To provide support where necessary in other areas of the Hotel.
People: To attend appraisal reviews when requested by Head of Department.
To understand and comply with the hotels employee handbook.
To attend departmental daily briefings.
To attend monthly departmental meetings/ General Team Meetings, ECCM when required.
To adhere to the hotels grooming procedures.
To clock in and out of the Timepoint at the start and finish of each shift and for breaks.
To inform your manager if you did not receive your break entitlement.
Specific Duties Follows the established procedures as outlined by LQA (Leading Quality Assurance) to ensure correct and efficient order taking within required time frame while providing courteous and helpful information on the telephone.
Ensure to use the guests name at least twice during each conversation.
To carry out all duties in line with departmental Standards Manual (Leading Quality Assurance).
Provide a channel for communication within the food & beverage departments between kitchen and hotel guests.
To be fully aware of any menu updates, hotel promotions, corporate promotions or special To maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
To ensure the guest is receiving the correct food and beverage orders in a timely manner.
To double check and confirm the correct order is being delivered before being received by the guest.
Ensure guests feel comfortable in their room and are prepared for their dining experience.
To be able to understand and answer any questions regarding the dishes.
To liaise with other departments to ensure that all guest requests are attended to efficiently.
Inform supervisors/managers of guest feedback or complaints in a timely manner.
Manage working in a busy, high-paced environment, operating quickly and efficiently.
Clear communication required for managing guest orders and requests.
Delivering in room dining trays and trolleys to guest bedrooms.
Responsible for cleaning and removing in room dining trays and trolleys from guest bedrooms.
Serve guests their food and beverages in a prompt, courteous manner as per the standard sequence of service.
Perform opening and closing procedures established for the department.
Maintain in-room dining control sheet and accurate records, pre-checks, and pick-ups for all food & beverage orders.
To be aware of and ensure guest privacy is not compromised and manage VIP requests.
Must be professional, comfortable accepting and making phone calls to guests in their rooms.
