We are actively seeking a dynamic Food and Beverage Manager with a high level of initiative and strong problem-solving abilities to join our team.
Overseeing the general day-to-day running of the F&B department and its staff, you will work alongside the Hotel Manager to ensure the best possible customer service is provided to our customers every day.
We are looking for candidates who already have experience in hospitality, specifically in F&B.
Summary of key activities To ensure the F&B department is running smoothly and efficiently Ensure that the department complies with and have in place all Covid-19, HACCP, Fire, Health and Safety measures necessary Maximising revenue through up-selling, customer engagement is a key part of this role Closely working with the Hotel Manager, Head chef & Directors to ensure KPI's, ordering, stocktaking is all in line Ensure all service areas, menus and staff are ready to go 10 minutes prior to schedule Achieve Food & Beverage budgets and other short and long-term F&B strategic goals To ensure customer's expectations are always exceeded.
Ensure all customer complaints are resolved to in a timely and efficient manner Provide an approachable welcoming atmosphere within the Hotel and between staff and customers Be comfortable to create a customer focused driven work place within your team, where positive guest experience is vital.
Manage and motivate your team to operate the department effectively Devise and implement training plans for your team Conduct staff reviews, appraisals and any disciplinary or grievance matters To ensure a good working environment exists within the F&B department Experience and skills Minimum of 2 years' management experience within the hospitality industry (Essential) Excellent management skills (Essential) Strong Food and Beverage knowledge and experience (Essential) Present a positive 'can do' attitude A passionate leader by example Must be a leader to their team both on and off the floor displaying energy, creativity, consistency and a great work ethic Candidate must demonstrate a love and desire for all things hospitality Calm, confident and professional Organised, flexible and proactive to achieve and improve standards Manage customer and staff conflict head on to avoid matters escalating Good problem-solving skills The Company The 4-star Salthill hotel is located on the Salthill Promenade with gorgeous views of the Galway Bay.
