Food Production Manager, Monaghan A prominent company in the FMCG sector is seeking to hire an experienced Production Manager to join their expanding team. Role Overview: The Production Manager will support the Head of Operations in meeting the department's operational goals. This role requires driving a Lean vision and ensuring efficient production line operations through strong and effective leadership within a GMP-compliant environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead and support the Production team in executing the production plan with maximum efficiency. Provide clear direction and purpose to the Supervisory group, regularly offering coaching and feedback. Oversee all aspects of the supervisory team's responsibilities, including recruitment, training, performance management, and adherence to workplace dignity policies. Develop and implement a continuous improvement and Lean strategy, setting a fast pace for ongoing best practices. Monitor performance through key process indicators and maintain accurate records for continuous tracking and communication. Foster a proactive approach to problem-solving and cultivate an environment of continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with departmental procedures, industry standards (such as BRC and other external customer standards), and Health & Safety regulations. Collaborate with the Health & Safety department to maintain a safe working environment. Develop and implement a learning and development plan to enhance team capabilities and achieve departmental goals. Lead audit processes within production, supporting and coaching the supervisory team to achieve positive outcomes, and driving continuous improvement based on feedback. Qualifications and Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience managing a team in the FMCG sector. Degree qualification (or equivalent) or significant practical experience in a similar role. Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and develop team members. Proactive, results-oriented, with strong attention to detail and the ability to make sound judgments. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of interacting with personnel at all levels. Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with a structured approach to decision-making. Proven ability to inspire high performance and align team members with shared goals. Experience with Lean and Continuous Improvement techniques. Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Flexibility to work various shifts to accommodate plant operations. Strong understanding of BRC and other industry standards is highly preferred.
