Job Title:Medical Receptionist Location: Mullingar/ Edenderry/ Enfield Position Type: Full-time Job Overview: Our Client is seeking a friendly, professional, and organised Receptionist to join our dynamic team at a busy dental practice in the Midlands.
As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service, ensuring smooth office operations, and contributing to the overall patient experience.
Key Responsibilities: Patient Interaction: Greet patients warmly upon arrival, assist with check-ins, and provide necessary information about services.
Appointment Scheduling: Manage patient appointments efficiently, including scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming appointments.
Ensure that the daily schedule runs smoothly.
Telephone Support: Answer incoming calls, provide information, take messages, and direct calls to appropriate team members.
Administrative Duties: Maintain patient records and update personal details accurately in the system.
Handle paperwork and assist in the completion of forms as required.
Insurance and Billing Support: Assist with processing patient insurance claims, check coverage, and answer billing inquiries.
Office Organisation: Ensure reception area is tidy and welcoming, keep patient waiting area stocked with relevant materials, and maintain inventory of office supplies.
Collaborate with Team: Work closely with the dentist, dental hygienists, and assistants to coordinate patient care and ensure smooth office operations.
Patient Confidentiality: Adhere to confidentiality guidelines and maintain the privacy of patient information at all times.
Key Skills & Requirements: Proven experience in a receptionist or administrative role, ideally within a medical or dental practice.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in using computers A professional appearance and attitude.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends if required.
