Building a sustainable tomorrow We are looking for an experienced and motivated Accountant with a track-record of FP&A, preferably built up in a project and construction environment.
The position is based in Kill, Co. Kildare with some hybrid working options.
Reporting to the FP&A Controller   , the purpose of the role is to support the FP&A aspects of BAM Contractors Segment ensuring that all segment, statutory, management reporting and compliance requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
Your mission The role is accountable for leading and driving the following:   Support key financial processes including monthly segment performance reporting and bottom-up forecasting.
Ensure reporting and forecasting timelines and requirements are met.
Assist in the month end processes for central overhead cost centres.
Assist with the review and constructive challenge of overheads reporting and help with the continuous improvement of the quality of reporting and variance and trend analysis.
Assist with the preparation of the monthly and quarterly segment management packs including commentary which clearly articulates the real drivers and trading outcomes.
Support External Audit and assist with the preparation of the Statutory Accounts.
Support identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of financial systems and processes to support the drive for efficiency and standardisation in the FP&A function.
Provide insights to management around financial modelling, scenario planning and forecasts.
Provide support on ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required.
Who are we looking for?
You are an experienced, energised, capable, analytical and numerically strong individual that is able to get into the detail but also step back and look at the larger picture.
You will be keen to contribute to making FP&A into a value adding function becoming a trusted business partner.
For this position we are looking for the following: Fully qualified practice trained accountant (ACCA/ACA) with 1+ years PQE Experience of basic Microsoft packages including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Highly motivated, committed individual with a track record of delivering good quality finance outputs.
Experience of working to tight timescales and consistently meeting deadlines.
Ability to communicate effectively with non-finance stakeholders and constructively challenge and influence performance.
Can do attitude - Identifying problems and tracking down potential causes.
Initiative - Acting at one's own initiative without being directed or encouraged by others.
Audit experience a distinct advantage.
SAP BPC, Coins and/or Solver experience an advantage.
