The role of the Freight Forwarder is to meet and exceed customers' requirements for the safe and efficient transport of their cargo, effectively and in accordance with company quality procedures and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities & Duties Book and engage carriers for international transport requirementsNegotiate rates as and when requiredPrepare documentation associated with all aspects of the transport function, including Custom ClearancePerform general administration duties, including invoicing, filing, queries, claims, and cost checks in accordance with departmental requirementsMaintain regular visibility of all transports under your controlBe proactive in managing and dealing with problems and day-to-day queriesEnsure revenue/profit guidelines are met in accordance with budgetary requirementsBe proficient and accurate in issuing quotationsMinimum of 3 years' recent experience working in European Freight ForwardingExcellent problem-solving, planning, and organizing skillsStrong administrative and customer service skillsAbility to work on own initiative and be self-drivenTerms:
