Main purpose of the role:
Ensure the Meat Department operates efficiently and effectively at all times and provide our customers with excellent quality products and services.
The ideal candidate will have/be: Excellent communication skillsNumerical skillCustomer focusedA passion for food and the ability to inspire shoppersThe ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, ability to multi-task under pressureNo previous experience necessary as training will be providedMain duties: Actively live SuperValu brand-values i.e. Genuine, Passion for Food, Vibrant, Committed, Innovative and ImaginativeDrive sales through ensuring SOPs and store standards are met on a daily basisMerchandise and present department to the highest standardImplement planograms correctlyControl stock rotation so that quality and freshness of goods is of the highest standardManage waste and shrink in the departmentEnsure continuous improvement in the Meat Department by remaining up to date with new products and initiativesEnhance product knowledge by gaining information from a range of sources and share ideas, suggestions and buildsEngage with new initiatives and embrace new ways of workingAbout the locality:
We are currently recruiting for a Fresh Meat Counter Assistant within our group.
Ideal Candidate:
Experience in a similar role/similar background an advantage but not essential
Knowledge of HACCP & SOP's
Candidates must be available to commence ASAP.
Must be available to work flexible hours
