We are currently recruiting for a Front of House Assistant - Team Lead for University College Dublin (UCD). Location: University College Dublin
Rate of pay: €14.00 per hour
Working pattern: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday
Job Purpose:
To ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Hospitality department. To co-ordinate events taking place within the meeting rooms, dealing with any issues or queries that clients may have and ensuring that staff are briefed on the meetings and any changes that take place.
Key Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesEvent Management:
• Responsible for the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of the Hospitality service, delegating control and co-ordinating staff duties for each function, ensuring functions are run according to staff rotas and daily work schedules.
• Ensure that all rooms are laid up to the standards required for the following day and that all equipment is in good working order.
• Take direct responsibility for the supervision of events as instructed by the General Manager.
• Ensure that all hospitality and events specifications are met in accordance with amendments obtained from the site sales team.
• Observe and monitor guest satisfaction and take appropriate action to avoid guest complaints.
• Deal efficiently and politely with guest queries and complaints and report such matters to the General Manager.Team Management:
• Ensure that all staff are briefed before the start of each service.
• Ensure that all staff are correctly presented in accordance with the required standards set by Gather & Gather.House Management:
• Be fully aware of equipment and linen stock levels and requisition/hire additional as required.
• Conduct weekly inspections of all Hospitality areas for maintenance, cleanliness and general upkeep and report findings to the General Manager.
• Take full responsibility for the use and storage of all Hospitality food service equipment, conducting stock checks every month.
• Put forward ideas and recommendations to the General Manager for improving services and development standards.Health and Safety:
• Have full knowledge of the site departmental disaster plan, ensuring that all departmental employees are fully trained and up to date.
• Have full knowledge of and be able to act upon the Fire procedures as laid down in the building fire plan.
• Keep up to date with all COSHH and HACCP procedures and methods.
• Report any equipment and/or building fabric faults and any hygiene, health and safety hazards to the General Manager.This job description and person specification is a guideline only and not exhaustive.
