This is an exceptional opportunity for a strong leader with housing or property management experience to join an established organisation as their first Chief Operating Officer Job Summary: Strategic Lead for Tenant, Housing, and Property Services This leadership role requires strategic oversight across tenant services, housing, and property management within the organisation.
You will be responsible for working closely with senior leadership, including the Chief Executive and CFO, to develop and deliver short, medium, and long-term strategies that align with organisational goals.
Key focus areas include innovation, growth, service improvement, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Develop strategies for operational areas, drive innovation, and position the organisation as a leader in the housing sector.
Team Leadership: Lead change management initiatives, support growth programs, and promote a collaborative leadership culture.
Operational Delivery: Ensure that housing services, including tenant engagement, asset management, and repairs, meet financial and regulatory targets.
Compliance & Risk Management: Oversee regulatory compliance, mitigate risks, and ensure robust internal controls.
Performance Management: Foster a performance-driven culture focused on delivering high-quality, customer-centered services.
External Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, policy makers, and contractors to support growth and influence sector thinking.
Person Specification: Qualifications: Professional accreditation (e.g., CiH or RICS) and continuous professional development.
Experience: Extensive senior-level experience in housing or property services, with a strong track record in delivering change, motivating teams, and driving business performance.
Skills: Strong leadership, communication, risk management, and commercial acumen, with a passion for affordable housing.
Attributes: Integrity, tenacity, collaboration, and a commitment to learning and service quality.
