Your key responsibilities: We are seeking a seasoned Programme Lead with a proven track record in leading the delivery of finance technology solutions in financial Services clients.
The ideal candidate will be at a Director level or more senior, and will be responsible for leading large scale Finance technology programmes. The candidate will be familiar with the full system development lifecycle from requirements through testing, in a Finance context.
The candidate will have functional knowledge of the finance domain, finance processes, and financial reporting. The candidate will marry this with very extensive experience ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities will include:
Leading the end-to-end delivery of complex Finance technology solutions, from requirements gathering and solution design to development, testing, deployment, and post-launch support.Leading interactions with senior client stakeholders to resolve important questions and challenges regarding the solution design, plan and budget of a complex Finance technology implementation.Leading diverse experts working across various teams, including Finance business stakeholders, workstream leads, system and functional experts, technical architects, developers and others to define and manage project scope, goals, and deliverables.Developing and maintaining detailed project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and budget tracking.Serving as the main point of contact for project status, risk management, and issue resolution. Representing and explaining project progress to the most senior client stakeholders.Ensuring the application of best practices in project management, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and Agile methodologies.Providing leadership and guidance to the overall programme team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.To qualify for the role, you must have: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field.Minimum of 12 years of experience in technology delivery, with at least 5 years delivering finance technology projects with a blue-chip consulting firm.Experience with delivering Finance technology and reporting systems for example SAP, Oracle.Strong project management skills, with experience of the full lifecycle of delivery on large scale Finance technology programmes.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.Experience in delivering business value from technology as well as communicating the value to senior business stakeholders.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.Stakeholder management and working collaboratively with Development and Testing teams to deliver high quality solutions that meet client and user business needs.Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting tight deadlines.Experience with budget management and resource allocation in a project context.Domain Areas: Finance processesFinancial reporting in Banks and InsurersProducts: SAP Finance – S4 GL, FPSL, Group Reporting, BW, othersOracle FinanceHave working experience one or more of the following tools: Jira, ConfluenceSQL, XMLIdeally, you'll also have experience in one or more of the following: Ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertaintyConducting Workshops and interviewsWhat working at EY offers: We offer a competitive remuneration package.
