Salary/Rate: €450-525 day rate
Start Date: 02/09/24
Job Type: 6 month initial contract
Company Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a Functional Business Analyst with strong exposure in Life & Pensions to join their team for an initial six-month contract.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives Requirements Gathering:
Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business requirements for Life & Pension projects.
Analyze and prioritize requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance with industry regulations.
Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications that can be used by development and testing teams.User Story Creation:
Develop clear, concise, and testable user stories that reflect the business requirements.
Work with product owners and development teams to refine user stories and acceptance criteria.
Ensure user stories are maintained in the project management tool and are ready for sprint planning.Documentation:
Produce high-quality documentation including business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, process flows, and user guides.
Maintain and update documentation throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
Ensure that all documentation complies with internal and external standards and is accessible to relevant stakeholders.Workshops & Stakeholder Engagement:
Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to understand current processes and identify areas for improvement.
Lead workshops to gather requirements, demonstrate prototypes, and obtain feedback on proposed solutions.
Engage with stakeholders at all levels, including business users, IT teams, and senior management, to ensure successful project delivery.Process Improvement:
Analyze current business processes and workflows in the Life & Pension domain to identify opportunities for improvement.
Recommend and implement process enhancements that improve efficiency, reduce costs, or enhance customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and test new processes and system enhancements.Support & Training:
Provide ongoing support to business users and IT teams during project implementation and post-launch.
Develop and deliver training sessions for end-users on new systems and processes.
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Life & Pension systems and processes.Required Skills/Experience Experience of commercial work as a Functional Business Analyst, with a strong focus on Life & Pension products.Proven experience in requirements gathering, user story creation, and documentation within the Life & Pension industry.Strong understanding of Life & Pension products, including regulatory requirements and industry best practices.Proficiency in using business analysis tools and software (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Visio).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.Experience in facilitating workshops and leading group discussions.Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.Desirable Skills/Experience Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or equivalent.Experience with Agile methodologies, particularly in a Life & Pension context.Familiarity with life insurance and pension administration systems.Experience in data analysis and reporting within the Life & Pension sector.If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply now with your updated CV in Microsoft Word/PDF format.
