My Client, a leading global fund administrator, is looking for a Fund Accounting Manager to join their expanding team. You will oversee the NAV calculation process, adhering to established guidelines and procedures, under the supervision of senior management. This role ensures timely and accurate NAV calculations, supports the development of client relationships, and requires a thorough understanding of Hedge Fund Administration service requirements. Comprehensive training, including induction and client-specific training, will be provided.
Key Responsibilities: Manage client relationships, ensuring consistent service through interaction with clients and senior management.Ensure the fund accounting team operates within a well-defined control environment.Oversee and develop teams of up to 10 employees.Resolve fund accounting inquiries escalated by supervisors or administrators.Ensure timely resolution of aged items on cash and position reconciliations.Review daily and monthly NAV calculations.Develop and enhance NAV calculation workflows and procedures.Review fee calculations and profit and loss allocations.Assess monthly, yearly, and inception-to-date performance metrics.Manage the audit process, ensuring timely completion of fund audits and preparation of financial statements.Investigate accounting implications of new products.Oversee client initialization and transition processes.Participate in fund accounting training development and presentation.Manage recruitment, training, and performance evaluations within fund accounting.Address exceptional problems and undertake special projects as assigned.Handle complex client calls.Establish and maintain effective relationships with Investor Services, Quality Assurance, Client Servicing, and Compliance departments.Desired Skills and Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in Hedge Fund Administration, with at least 3 years at a supervisory level. Alternative Hedge Fund experience may be considered.Degree in Accounting, Finance, Legal, or Business.Intention to pursue a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ACA) is advantageous but not required.Proficient in IT.Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Flexibility to work effectively within a team or independently.Strong interpersonal skills.Good initiative with the ability to identify when escalation is needed.
