The 4-star Ardilaun Hotel is looking for a part-time Gardner to maintain and enhance our gardens and outdoor areas.
This role will be Tuesday to Thursday.
Responsibilities : Maintain and care for all outdoor areas of the hotel, including gardens, lawns, flower beds, shrubs, and trees.
Perform regular watering, pruning, weeding, and fertilizing to ensure the health and vitality of plants.
Plant new flowers, trees, and shrubs according to seasonal requirements.
Ensure the hotel grounds are kept clean, tidy, and visually appealing.
Monitor and control pests and weeds to prevent damage to plants.
Operate and maintain gardening equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition and properly stored.
Uphold health and safety standards in all gardening activities, including proper handling of chemicals and adherence to relevant regulations.
Provide friendly and knowledgeable assistance to guests regarding the hotel's outdoor area Conduct regular inspections of outdoor areas to identify and address safety hazards, such as uneven pathways or low-hanging branches.
Requirements : Previous gardening experience desired.
Knowledge of plant care, landscape maintenance, and garden design.
Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
Attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, digging, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
