Horse Sport Ireland (HSI) are currently recruiting for a General Administrator, to work in a cross-functional administrative role supporting a number of different departments within the organisation.
About the Company: HSI is recognised as the National Governing Body for the Irish Sport Horse sector.
HSI unites equestrian sport and sport horse breeding under one governing body and is responsible for devising and implementing strategies for the development and promotion of an internationally competitive Irish equestrian industry, covering high-performance sport, breeding and production, coaching and education, sport and recreation.
HSIs funding partners are the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM), Sport Ireland, the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media and Sport Northern Ireland.
Job Purpose: To be responsible for providing effective and efficient administrative services and support in a fast-paced environment across a number of different departments of Horse Sport Ireland.
The role will be diverse and interesting and will suit a candidate who is looking for a new opportunity to build upon their existing administrative skills and work in an exciting and environment.
Key Responsibilities: Role Provide effective and efficient administrative service across all departments of Horse Sport Ireland as required including, but not limited to; Breeding, Coaching & Education, Registrations, Sport, Finance.
To support the Heads of Department and their teams as required in the delivery of schemes, initiatives, courses, shows, events etc.
including attendance at shows and events as required.
Provide excellent customer service and effectively and efficiently communicate and deal with public, customer and stakeholder enquiries, by email, telephone and face-to-face.
Undertake administrative duties in line with company procedures including filing, photocopying, scanning, answering/making calls, monitoring and responding to emails effectively and efficiently, reception desk cover as required.
Use manual and computer-based systems to effectively maintain databases and records ensuring all information is accurate and up to date at all times.
Assist with planning and making travel arrangements as required.
Assist with report writing and proof-reading documentation, ensuring a high standard of work The successful candidate should have: Strong administration experience minimum 2 3 years' experience required Knowledge of the equine industry is an advantage but not essential.
Relevant experience in a fast-paced office environment.
Relevant customer service experience and/or qualifications.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
Some experience/knowledge of website/social media.
Ability to work on your own initiative.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support your colleagues.
Ability to follow procedures accurately and to meet deadlines effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Full clean driving licence.
Willingness to be flexible and adaptable.
Health, Safety and Quality Management Adhere at all times to the Health and Safety policies and procedures of HSI and/or any other parties as necessary, if conducting work off site.
Ensure personal compliance to all Quality Standards.
Other Other reasonable duties as may be required within overall competence and skill.
