The role involves ensuring full compliance with all statutory, legal, and regulatory requirements, including Safety, Health, Environment, and food hygiene standards such as HACCP.
It includes maintaining adherence to product and process quality standards, as well as housekeeping, cleaning, and 5S practices.
The position requires operators to manage packaging equipment to produce finished goods that meet the necessary quality, timing, and cost specifications for the logistics department.
Additionally, the role includes basic asset care responsibilities, participation in improvement activities to achieve departmental KPI targets, and undertaking ongoing training to develop new skills and support up-skilling initiatives.
Operators are also expected to perform any packaging-related tasks as directed by the Team Manager.About you You should have Standard Grades or equivalent qualifications in English and Mathematics.
A background in packaging or engineering, whether through formal qualifications or practical experience, is highly advantageous.
While all necessary operational training for the role will be provided, having a FLT license is beneficial, particularly for roles involving the Empty Can Store or Keg Palletiser.
Proficiency in computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office packages, is also important for this role.
