General Operator Bodyshop: This role will join the Bodyshop Team prepping all vehicles for spraying.
The range of vehicles are from Bus, Truck and Horsebox.
This role is very hands on and physical.
The job needs a person who is willing to work hard and work as part of a team to get each project completed.
must have experience with hand tools must have an interest in physical work of masking, sanding and prepping vehicles must be able to work with vehicle parts bolt on, bolt off Purpose of the job: To assist Technicians and Body Specialists in providing high quality vehicle repairs and refurbishment in line with Company standards and Customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities & Duties: Remove and refit vehicle parts, components and panels Must be handy with cars / machinery to take parts on and off Sand and mask required areas of vehicles in preparation for spray painting by the Body Specialist.
Attention to detail is needed here so prep job is good to get high quality spray job Must be organised so all parts removed are tagged, bagged and then reassembled correctly taking care of the customers vehicle Clean vehicles internally and externally to the highest possible standard after refurbishment and ensure repair tasks have been completed and checked prior to customer delivery Undertaking any other duties or activities as required Work as part of a team, maintaining a good working relationship between colleagues and customers Adhere to correct working procedures, highlighting any errors or safety issues promptly to Management Keep the working area clean and tidy, reporting any Health and Safety issues promptly Report faulty facility / equipment promptly Participate in training and development programmes as required by the Company Undertake any other duties or activities as required Person Profile: Self starter Good with cars / machinery - keen interest in repairs etc Team focused Flexible approach to work Skills Profile: Minimum 6 months relevant work experience (an advantage) Excellent communication skills Excellent attention to detail Ability to work accurately and efficiently under challenging time constraints Skills: Prepping vehicles Sanding Masking Benefits: pension overtime Paid Holidays Parking Performance Bonus
