The CompanyOhshima Ireland is currently seeking experienced General Operatives to join our growing team based in our facility in Shannon. This organisation has worldwide expertise but also a local presence within our specialized field. This will be a key role in the company and requires someone coming from a fast-paced multi national company background. Role (Assembly):Assemble goods on production linesCarry out basic quality and testing checksStore goods and raw materials properly in the warehousePack goods to be shippedMaintain the area where you work, clean and tidy, free of obstructions, including any storage and WIPMaintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs or supportEnsure that any equipment or tool malfunction is immediately reportedMake sure that tools and equipment are cleaned and maintained properly at the end of each shiftCheck finished product for problems or faults and isolate any damaged or inconsistent item immediatelyMake sure that finished items are stored safely prior to being taken for packagingEnsure proper labelling of finished items and ensure that they are packaged properlyEnsure all supplies and equipment are available prior to each shiftFollow appropriate instructions from your SupervisorMaintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulationsAdvocate safety practices to the rest of the production staffUpdate job knowledge by participating in training and educational opportunities.Ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures and legislationEnsure awareness and compliance with all Health & Safety work practicesBe responsible for the maintenance of good work practices and working relationshipsMaintain and communicate information for the effective delivery of serviceSupport and participate in the establishment and maintenance of improved standards and quality initiativesPlease note that this role requires candidates to be currently residing in Ireland with a valid work permit.
