General Operatives & Machine Operatives Drogheda Port Company Drogheda, County Louth, Ireland Permanent Contract About us Drogheda Port Company is the largest commercial regional port in Ireland, handling over 1.5 million tonnes of cargo per annum and over 1000 ship movements.
The Port is projecting significant future growth and is embarking on ambitious development plans over the next number of years which will see substantial investment in the ports infrastructure, handling capacity, technology, and safety systems.
We are seeking experienced general operatives and machine operatives to operate our fleet of port material handlers, forklifts and other plant as part of a small team.
As General Operative Machine Operative, your duties will include but not be limited to: Working as part of a small, dedicated team to load and unload vessels Operating various plant and equipment as part of general port operations Following Health and Safety Procedures and checklists.
Working flexible working hours including weekends as required to support a busy port operation Other duties as assigned.
Requirements Full clean Drivers License Safe Pass Certification Certificate in Forklift and/or Plant operation Ability to work on your own initiative as well as a team environment.
Forklift experience an advantage Ongoing training will be provided on specific equipment Drogheda Port is an equal opportunities employer.
