Genomic Resource Associate, Grade V Purpose of the Role: The Genomic Resource Associate is a recently established role within the Clinical Genetics work stream, facilitating the patient journey.

The purpose of this role involves collaborating with patients, relatives, clinical services, genetics and other laboratories, to improve access to services in a timely manner.

Essential Criteria: · Minimum qualification of a successful completion of Leaving Certificate or equivalent

· Minimum of four years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting, with at least two of these at Grade IV

· Knowledge of hospital operational policies and procedures

· Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate successfully and sensitively with patients, public, staff and management

· A clear understanding of the need for adherence to patient and staff confidentiality

· Excellent IT skills, with experience in working with ICT packages including Microsoft Office

· Proven experience of improving processes and technical/ analytical responsibilities

· Proven ability to draw conclusions from analysis undertaken
