This is a full-time hybrid role. Initially, you will need to be available onsite in Athenry, Co. Galway for an average of three days a week.

Please noteour client cannot assist with any visa sponsorship and candidates must have the correct visa to live and work in Ireland.

As a GIS Specialist, you will work with project managers and specialised engineering teams to develop, manage and maintain GIS solutions associated with ongoing transport asset management projects (roads, tunnels, light-rail, active travel and greenways). The ArcGIS environment is central to all geospatial tasks and as such, exposure to the ArcGIS platform is a necessity in this role especially ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online, and including Survey123, Dashboards and Experience Builder (or other Web Mapping Applications).

This role provides a platform for a GIS Professional to provide innovative solutions to industry challenges along with the capability to expand their GIS knowledge with a company that will focus energy on your growth.

Source, collate and prepare spatial datasets. Apply best data management principles for spatial data in ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online. Preparation of maps and apps for in-house and field teams. Create and maintain geodatabases to store spatial data. Perform geoprocessing tasks and analysis of spatial information. Preparation of mobile applications to be used in conjunction with company and client GIS systems. Aid in the development of new systems to improve efficiencies within the company. 3+ Years experience with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online Basic knowledge of QGIS Proficient with MS Office and Outlook Data Management within the ArcGIS Environment (Pro/Online) Knowledge of multiple spatial file types (Shapefile and Feature Classes, GeoPackage, GeoJSON, KML for examples) ETL – taking files from disparate sources and adding to geodatabases WGS84 (4326), ITM (2157) and IG (29902).
