In this role, you will support the creation and execution of procurement strategy for Global Packaging and lead end-to-end category management for assigned vendors.
Responsibilities The key accountabilities for this position will include but are not limited to: Develop category strategies for assigned vendors/categories, secure stakeholder signoff, and drive implementation of initiatives.Pricing Maintenance – manage the timely update of all packaging pricing on a quarterly basis for each plant to ensure accuracy and consistency. Engage with suppliers to update commodity price movements and/or other price changes.Project management for local projects: Lead continuous improvement projects to deliver on key productivity, BCP, and capacity analysis activities for the packaging category.Perform data and market analysis that highlights trends, pricing movements, and supply issues across the packaging market.Act as global SAP Data SME/Project Lead for managing the update of SAP data for packaging projects to ensure smooth project transition and minimization of product obsolescence.Support the resolution and root cause analysis of actual and potential packaging supply or quality problems.Perform in-depth analysis for category spend including understanding of supply sources, supplier capability, industry economics, designs and technology, pricing, and duty/freight barriers.Ensure materials sourced are in compliance with sourcing standards & packaging regulations.Ability to communicate and manage stakeholders, both internally and externally, up to senior levels across the organization.Qualifications Qualifications/Requirements: 5+ years experience specializing in a packaging/procurement role.Broad/depth experience in sourcing processes and procurement best practices, with experience of implementing them in a global environment.Highly effective interpersonal skills – excellent negotiator and strong communication and influencing skills to all organizational levels, particularly at the executive level.Demonstrated ability to develop credible business relationships with stakeholders at all levels including plant directors, global quality leads, SAP SMEs, and Supply Chain leads.Excellent project management skills with proven ability to execute and deliver on commitments.Proven excellence in numeracy and strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.Ability to lead and influence teams based in different locations globally, who do not report directly to the position.Results oriented – comfortable delivering against stretch targets and pressure situations.Comfortable working within a complex matrix organization.At PepsiCo, opportunity is for everyone.
