IFF Pharma Solutions is growing and always seeking talent who can accelerate our growth, advance our strategy, and enhance our customer satisfaction. This role can be Europe or US based (hybrid or remote).
This role will be a critical player and member of the Global Product Management team who will lead the definition and execution of the product and asset strategy for one of the largest value centers in the business. You will work in a global market with interesting opportunities for driving profitable growth. As Global Product Manager (GPM), for Ac-Di-Sol, Alubra, and other outside manufactured products and growth synergy opportunities in Pharma, you will develop and drive clearly defined initiatives for revenue and profit growth of the assigned portfolio. As a GPM, you will drive the implementation of the Product Strategy, in cooperation with Sales, Operations, Contract Manufacturing, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Innovation, Quality, Regulatory and other relevant functions to assure alignment of product and functional execution plans.
Your key tasks/responsibilities of this position are:
Ownership of the P&L for the product lines. Drive the development and implementation of the strategic direction of the product line – global, regional, and industry priorities, including an aggressive plan for growth and margin improvement.Develop & implement strategic pricing plans for the product line by product/market. Define and approve the global and regional price and margin policy by product, ensuring implementation of pricing architecture while assisting sales in pricing decisions.Monitors product quality and initiates improvement actions across the organization.Monitors input costs and works with sourcing to ensure competitive and sufficient raw material position.Develop and execute Product Management plans. Proactively drive the product line profitability, generate new ideas for product line additions and product line deletions, and actively manage the product portfolio and lifecycle.Secure product supply based on demand forecast and propose product allocation plans during times of shortage, considering both short and midterm factors.Optimize strategy to source production through our third-party manufacturers to meet the short- and long-term growth goals for the product lines, ensuring reliable supply, optimizing working capital, and meeting quality requirements/expectations.Develop and drive medium- and long-term product investment plans to support product line strategy.Responsible for annual and monthly forecast planning, understanding and addressing challenges to deliver on forecast, and understanding profitability drivers and actions to optimize.Work with the commercial organization to maintain and grow share of the market, understanding market trends, customer needs and competitive dynamics.The successful candidate will possess:
Bachelor or Masters level Degree in a technical education such as Chemical Engineering and/or a business related Degree with a focus on marketing, business, etc.5+ years of experience in the Chemical or Pharma industry.Experience in Commercial for Pharma, Food or Chemical industry is required.Product management including Contract Manufacturing products will be a plus.Ability to work with Salesforce.com, Microsoft Office, Power BI.Key skills and competencies required:
