A well-established Tier 1 main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join their team for a high-profile healthcare project valued at €25M in Waterford.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a prestigious development with one of Irelands top contractors.
Role: Oversee all engineering activities on-site, ensuring the project is delivered to the highest technical standards and within agreed timelines.
Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, design teams, and subcontractors to ensure seamless execution of the project.
Ensure strict adherence to Health and Safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety across the site.
Coordinate with site staff to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
Oversee setting out activities Maintain accurate site documentation, including records of progress, materials, and safety.
Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure compliance with project standards and address any issues promptly.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other site staff.
Liaise with stakeholders and consultants to ensure smooth communication and resolution of issues.
Requirements: 5+ years experience in a Senior Engineer role, ideally on healthcare or large-scale commercial projects.
Relevant Engineering degree (Civil, Structural, or related discipline).
Proven expertise in setting-out equipment (e.g., GPS, total station) and associated software.
Comprehensive understanding of Building Regulations, construction standards, and health and safety requirements.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with a track record of managing technical aspects of projects effectively.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve on-site challenges proactively.
Salary and Benefits: €75k - €85k, commensurate with experience.
