Skills and AttributesCommunication SkillsTeamworkAdministration SkillsDescriptionJob Purpose: The Grade IV Endocrinology Community Integration Service Coordinator will have a key role in managing and developing the function of the clinical administrative support for the project. He/She will be responsible for ensuring optimal clinical administrative support is provided to the specialty group in an efficient, cost-effective, and streamlined manner. The post holder will also work closely with the Clinical Lead and Endocrinology Supervisor to ensure balanced administrative support for the project.
The post holder will coordinate and provide administration support to the team providing virtual and face-to-face consultations for the Endocrinology service within the community. The team includes a Consultant Cardiologist (1.0 WTE), a Clinical Nurse Specialist (1.0 WTE), and this Grade IV Endocrinology Community Integration Service Coordinator Administrator (1.0 WTE). The post holder will be expected to liaise with the wider Endocrinology service and other specialty services at MMUH as required. A significant component of this role will involve liaison with community partners, i.e., GP services aligned to the integration project.
In order to meet the service needs of the hospital, the post holder will be required to work at different locations, i.e., across the Mater Hospital plus at Community Hub locations and any other location required for service delivery. The post holder will also be expected to provide cover for colleagues during times of absence.
